Introducing Aissa | 2013 Senior

I've known Aissa and her family since she was a toddler. Matter of fact, I use to watch Aissa for my good friend Sonia. At the time, we lived across the street from one another (Camp Pendleton, CA). It's amazing to see her all grown up, and I can't believe she'll soon graduate high school. I can remember having her in a backpack and exploring southern CA together. When I began art school, Aissa was one of my first models. I use to photograph her all the time. Man... time sure does fly!

Introducing Ella | 2013 Senior

Ella was a delight to photograph. She has the purest and most piercing blue eyes. Both mom and daughter were fun to chat with, and I loved how they were open to try a few things... climbing on rocks and changing locations. For example, on the way to the session, I caught sight of this field next to a VFW and thought, oh man... how cool if I can get them to follow me back this way after our agreed destination. Ella and mom were both game, and I'm so glad we were able to catch a few images of her in the field. I love the image of her sitting in the tall grass. So beautiful and natural. Thanks mom and Ella for a great session!

after leaving quantico, we headed north to occoquan. i love this little town for it hosts some really awesome shops, eateries and scenery. the later images i tweaked using totally rad actions.

i loved working with emily and her mom. emily was so not shy to express herself and she loved being silly even in public. fun fun fun! sue, emily's mom, was a dream. she was supportive, sweet and just as funny as emily. we laughed a lot! and oh man did she ever make an excellent photographer's assistant. way to find the light sue! xoxo.

there is always drama.

note to self... the next time i plan to have a session at quantico... get a permit. yes. we were chased away by an MP who was rightfully doing his job but seriously... two military moms with a military kid. he had to look at my images on camera... thank goodness for digital media and then he said we were innocent enough and let us go. ahem. okay. off we went to find another dream location.

i love this rusty urban chic building. i've had several sessions here before and had no clue i needed a permit to photograph on base. but i get it... they are there to keep us safe. lesson learned. next time, i'll get a permit.

 

JUNE SENIOR SPECIAL

reserve your senior session within the timeframe of june 27th and july 3rd for only $75 (normal session fee $150). you can choose your session date from now until november 30th. in addition, save 15% off of any $250 print/digital order and 20% off any $500+ print/digital order. please note - you must schedule your session before november 30, 2011.

session fee - the june senior special session fee is $75, non-refundable, non-transferrable and due in full when scheduling your day and time. the session is good for only one person. if you would like to have a friend sit in with you during your session, there is an additional $25 per person added fee.

the session fee covers the talent and time of the photographer - candice mclean. the senior session includes up to 3 hours with the photographer on location (two locations max), styling pre-consulation prior to the session and an online gallery password protected with a minimum of 30 images.

the session fee does not include any print or digital images.

payment options - credit/debit via paypal, check and cash. all checks made payable to candice mclean. your date is not secured until payment is received in full.

cancellation policy - if you decide to cancel your session for reasons that do not include inclement weather or medical emergency, then you surrender your session fee. please note the fee is non-refundable.
