here, i'm below laying on the ground looking up at my subject (my daughter carys). i often mix it up and use different point's of view - especially when photographing children. the look is fun and most often times, i use a shallow depth of field so anything in the foreground is blurred or out of focus. example - see the second photo of carys looking right into the camera.
try playing around with your point of view. ant's eye view - lay your camera on the ground and shoot away. bird's eye view - get above and look down onto your subject. i often carry a step stool with me. this is also one of the most flattering perspectives.
