this morning - i love mornings just like these - we're just hanging out. i love having her home - it gives us mommy and carys time while my older kiddos are at school.

so this morning, like every morning, we are watching mickey mouse clubhouse. she loves it! if you haven't seen it and you have a toddler you might want to. AND, she also loves to go online and to play at the clubhouse.

NEW workshop - school memories @ ever after scrapbooks

here's a sneak peek at a new workshop that i'm teaching.

where? ever after scrapbooks in carlsbad, ca

what? well, i designed this little 6x6 treasure to showcase my kiddos' first day back to school, but as you can see, you could showcase any theme. the papers are from the rusty pickle mayflower collection, and the album is a combinaton of 6x6 and 4x6 chipboard pieces. there are also some 3.5x6 coin envelopes, felt flowers, paper flowers, buttons, pull-outs, diamond dust, stamps, and a little bit of this and little bit of that.

saturday inspiration

i've been reading, listening, observing and totally being inspired.

kristan recommended this and i loved it!!! i read twilight in four days which for me is a total record breaker for i'm the slowest reader ever. it was so good! i could not put the book down. there are two more in the sequel. i'm buying this one today and then on to the third. learn more about the author stephanie meyer.

i attended the fiesta here on base where marine corps wives come together once a year to mingle and support our fellow marine wives. there were tons of vendors with home based businesses. i discovered porto and the designer kerri charlton. i purchased one of her yummy bags and i'll have to take of pic of it for you later. i'm running out the door to go teach a class, but go take a lookie at her site.

bought a new cd and loving this one. amy winehouse's back to black. super funky and soulful.

an older cd but one that i don't have but totally want - hoobastank - the reason.

lately, i've been drawn to mixed media artists. something about the different mediums mixing and morphing together. i've been searching thru the etsy shops and discovered paulette insall. love her style and this particular piece called crossroads.

first day of school

it's official. school has begun for the 2007-2008 school year. my little guy [connor] started kindergarten. he was so excited to be joining his sisters at the "big" school. it's amazing to see them off to school each year. so many memories are revived from the previous years and my own school years. the senses are awakened by all the school supplies - pencils, paper, glue, crayons, markers. everything is new and fresh - a new beginning - a fresh start!
